What About Sending the Technician an Audio Recording?
Homeowners sometimes send us audio or video recordings of unfamiliar furnace noises. A recording can provide a useful clue, especially when it shows exactly when the sound begins during the heating cycle. However, phone microphones can distort sound, and different furnace problems can sound similar. We use the recording as a starting point, but an on-site inspection is still needed to confirm the cause.
Can a Loud Furnace Be Dangerous?
